About Sara...

Hi, I’m Sara and I’m a Five Element and Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncturist working in Oxford and Thame.
Like many of the people I now treat, I turned to acupuncture when other approaches hadn’t helped. I’d always been drawn to more natural forms of health care, so when someone suggested acupuncture for my chronic shoulder pain, I was curious to see whether it might help. What surprised me was that, as my shoulder improved, I began to feel calmer, more energised, and more like myself again.
That experience changed the way I think about health and sparked a curiosity that later led me to train as an acupuncturist. It showed me that when we support the body as a whole, the effects often reach far beyond the symptom that first brought someone through the door.
That’s something I now see in my own practice. People may come to see me for migraines, back pain or troublesome periods, but as treatment progresses they often tell me they’re sleeping better, have more energy, or are simply feeling more like themselves. I never take that for granted.

Today, I aim to bring together the wisdom of Chinese medicine with the routines of everyday life. Alongside treatment, I explore small, realistic changes that support how someone feels, and can help the effects of acupuncture last over time.
In the treatment room, I take time to listen and explore what’s going on for you, before shaping treatment around how you’re feeling that day. The space is calm and unhurried, with no pressure to be anything other than yourself.
I work with people in all phases of life, with a particular interest in supporting emotional wellbeing. From young adults experiencing big feelings such as anger or overwhelm, to new mothers navigating anxiety and worry, as well as people living with stress, fatigue, chronic pain, or other long-term health challenges.
If this approach sounds right for you, I'd love to hear from you.

Beyond the treatment room
Outside the treatment room, I prioritise time with my family, movement, and getting outdoors. I also really value slowing down, and balancing activity with rest. These are the things that help me stay grounded, and keep me connected to how I'm feeling day to day.
To me, good health is about capacity, such as, having the energy and freedom to do the things that matter to me, and the awareness to rest when my body needs it.
