Booking an appointment

Appointments can be booked online, by email or by phone. Your appointment is confirmed once your booking has been made.

Please ensure that the information you provide when booking is accurate and up to date, and let me know if anything changes before your appointment that may be relevant to your treatment.

Initial appointments

Initial appointments are paid for at the time of booking. This allows me to reserve dedicated time for your first consultation, which includes a more detailed discussion of your health history, what has brought you to treatment, and how I can best support you.

If an initial appointment needs to be cancelled or rearranged with more than 48 hours’ notice, payment can be transferred to a rearranged appointment or refunded. Please call or email me to arrange this.

Cancellations and rearranging appointments

If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice.

Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, will be charged at the full appointment fee.

This policy helps protect time that has been set aside for your treatment and allows the appointment to be offered to someone else where possible.

Follow-up appointments

Follow-up appointments are available for patients I have seen previously and can be booked as needed online, by email or by phone

Payment is due at the time of treatment unless otherwise agreed.

Arriving late

If you arrive late, I will always do my best to accommodate you, but your treatment time may need to be shortened so that other appointments are not affected. The full appointment fee will still apply.

Preparing for your appointment

I recommend having something to eat before your appointment. Most people feel completely fine after treatment, but occasionally acupuncture can leave you feeling a little light-headed, particularly if you haven’t eaten.

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to areas that may need to be treated.

Home visits

Home visits are available by arrangement. Fees for home visits will be confirmed at the time of booking and may vary depending on travel time and location.

Home visits need to be confirmed over the phone to allow enough time to discuss your needs and make appropriate arrangements.

Your appointment and treatment

Acupuncture treatment is provided based on the information you share with me about your health, medical history and current circumstances.

Please let me know about any changes to your health, medication, diagnosis, pregnancy status, or any other relevant information before or during your course of treatment.

If I feel that acupuncture is not appropriate for you, or that another form of support would be more suitable, I may advise you accordingly.
