Treatments

Alongside acupuncture, I also use a range of traditional Chinese medicine techniques where they feel appropriate. These are always chosen thoughtfully and used to support your treatment, rather than as something separate or additional for its own sake.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture uses very fine needles placed at specific points on the body. The points are chosen based on what you’ve come in with, your health history, and how things are presenting for you on the day.

You can find more information and FAQs on the acupuncture page.

Cupping

Cupping uses gentle suction cups placed on the skin to ease muscle tension and support circulation. It can be helpful for tightness, stiffness, or areas that feel restricted.

Moxa

Moxa is a gentle warming technique applied to acupuncture points. It can feel soothing and comforting, and is often used to support warmth, energy, or circulation.

Electro Acupuncture

Electroacupuncture combines traditional acupuncture with gentle electrical stimulation applied to selected needles. It is commonly used to support musculoskeletal pain, including joint and knee pain, as well as muscle tension and nerve-related symptoms.

The gentle stimulation provides a consistent level of input while remaining comfortable and relaxing.

Ear acupuncture uses specific points on the ear that relate to different areas of the body. It can be used on its own or alongside body acupuncture.

Ear seeds can be left on after treatment to gently continue stimulating these points.

Gua Sha & Tui-Na (Chinese Massage)

Gua sha uses a smooth tool worked gently over the skin to release tension and support circulation. It is often used for muscular tightness, headaches, or areas of discomfort.

Tui-Na is a form of Chinese medical massage that works with muscles and channels in the body. It can be helpful for pain, stiffness, or tension, and is always adapted to you.
